Tea Length Wedding dresses or knee length wedding dresses it all depends on the wedding them and also on the personality of the bride as well as if you are the bridesmaid then should you wear it or not or should you wear a gown. These are some the questions that I am going to answer today in this post of mine. They were originally for the afternoon tea and hence the name tea length dress stuck.
The styles of the tea length wedding dresses can vary and these can be
- Vintage
- Casual Ivory
- Laced ones
The traditional flowing length wedding gown can be very much the one which you choose to wear but the fact is these tend to be lacier and with very intricate designs. The exact opposite is the tea length wedding dresses which are less ornamental and have no intricate brocade or other work and in fact may even look more casual.
That means you need to see what kind of theme wedding are you doing. If you are doing a wedding which is very much a formal affair in church then probably the dress is not for you but if you are doing a beach wedding or a destination wedding then you can definitely wear a tea length dress
Also if you want to buy one you can definitely go to wedding boutique and they can offer one for you. For tea length dresses you can also check with the local strip mall shops and a good high-end cocktail dress would also do. The reason being that tea length wedding dress does not have to have all that special wedding embellishments that go with it.
You can wear any color of the tea length dress but the causal ivory color is the best as it is not the overstatement as well it is not an understatement.
The other thing is that some brides may not look good in a gown at all so try the tea length wedding dress.
Other options:
- Floor Length wedding dresses
- Traditional White ball Gown
- Retro style
- Color of the tea length dress
- Red Color
- Ivory
- White
- Tiffany or blue color – based on the theme
Tip – Wear a gown for the wedding and the reception and then change into a tea length dress later for merry making. Along with the dress wear the jewelry and make sure to clean the jewelry care cloth
Never wear a tea length for a church or a formal wedding.
