Unusual Wedding Venues – Cruise Ship Anyone?

Unusual Wedding Venues guide has today taken me on the journey of weddings at sea, on a cruise ship.

I’m not a super fan of boats and deep water but I think a cruise could be fun, it is like a big floating hotel and you cant really tell that its moving when you are in it.

Had a look at cruise weddings with P&O cruise ships. One thing I will say is that if you get stressed out organizing events, this could be a life saver, they do everything for you.

The post out invites, make the cake, arrange the flowers, play the music, supply champagne, write thank you notes to all the guests, and have onboard photographers, as well as make-up and hair people and wedding dress ironers! the onboard wedding planner can organize any of this thing for you before you even set sail. It all sound like a lot of hard work and if you are anything like me to do all this yourself would have you coming out in hives ( this is what happened to me at my first communion, 1980′s satin dress and itchy hives the size of a tennis ball was not good). The wedding service is conducted by the ship's Captain, and there are lots of different venues across the ship to choose from for the wedding, there is an outside area on the deck that can be used and many as well as many halls all over the ship.

Because it is the Captain that conducts the wedding it is a Civil Wedding and the music and readings must not be religious, so that means that you can have Robbie Williams – Angels on repeat if you want or something by Marilyn Manson whatever you want. This could be a bit of a problem for those people out who are religious, but I guess its just the way it is with cruise ship weddings.
