Your wedding photos will be around you forever. So it is imperative not to waste the big opportunity as this is your only chance to look the best you’ve ever looked. Think, you’re going to be the princess for the day and it’s only right that you dress accordingly.
So, when choosing the wedding dress, there are main aspects you should consider:
• neckline – it should flatter your body shape and enhance your bust.
• material – should cling to every lump or skim your line to perfection.
• length – should elongate you if you are on the short side or serve to make the most of your elegant stature if you’re tall.
• skirt – should fall elegantly to the floor, giving the illusion of perfectly curvaceous hips or cruelly accentuate your heavy thighs and saddlebags.
• color – should lift your skin tone.
• detail – could sparkle with beading and crystals or heavily embroidered.
Choose:
(if your bust is about the same width as your hips - hourglass) choose anything you like, especially dresses that accentuate your tiny waist and curves.
(if you are 5ft 3ins or under - petite) choose A-line or long-line styles with detail at the neckline and hem to draw the eye up and down the length of your frame. Avoid ball gown or full-skirted gowns.
(if you are smaller on top with curvy snake hips – pear shape) : choose slim A-line styles with wide or square necklines and especially strapless or off-the-shoulder dresses. Avoid clingy materials around your hips and bias cut skirts which accentuate wider hips.
(if you are curvy and rounder – plus size) Choose Deep v-necklines that will give the illusion of a slimmer you while enhancing your best assets and a fitted bodice with a longer length gentle A-line skirt. Avoid high necklines, short skirt lengths, nd strapless or off-the-shoulder styles.
Try your dress before you buy:
Try on as many different styles as you can before you buy the dress. It will give you a better idea of the ideal one for you to wear on your wedding day as well as what you could feel comfortable in.
